Now Twitter Can Analyze Our Tweeting Psyche…

… and apparently, we’re all nuts.

Dan Zarella has taken two linguistic analyzers plus psych analysis and applied them to tweets. You can plug in any Twitter account and analyze how you write and what you write about.

I have no idea how one would compensate for the fact that Twitter writing is so constrained. I know I don’t launch into extended metaphor on Twitter. But, that’s why psychologists exist.

I tried it. Here’s my profile.

One of the more interesting things it does is to try to find other people who think like me. (And yes, that interested me because we match resumes in Hodes iQ like that, and maybe I’ll make a friend?) Here are my new soul mates:

thinklikeme

They’ve also tried this for blogs and web sites, but the analysis didn’t seem to be as fun as Twitter accounts.

Try it on yourself, then your friends!
